A Recipe for Success
Dutch-born entrepreneurs Herman Bodewitz and Gerry Renzenbrink understood, way back in 1963, that customers are hard pressed to pass by a bakery offering quality pastries and sheet cakes at affordable prices. That's how Sunrise Bakery began and the word of their delicious baked goods spread quickly as they began marketing their quality products door to door.

Before long, the company was supplying products to a growing list of retailers and restaurants. Over the years, Sunrise Bakery has gradually expanded to customers across North America, and now to the UAE. This success is based on the strategies of customer service and flexibility to exceed customer expectations. Sunrise keeps apprised of industry trends, and is committed to research and development of new products. Many of the successful recipes can be traced back to Dutch-born bakers who have perfected family heirloom recipes.

Today, this family business occupies more than 40,000 square feet of production facility, including 10,000 square feet of pallet friendly freezer space. In this space, 220 different product lines are produced ranging from decadent cinnamon buns with cream cheese to low-fat mouth-watering chocolate brownies, soft buttery dinner rolls and comforting cake donuts.
